Brief Information for June 2011 Newsletter

1. Synod of Bishops for the Middle East. The 44 recommendations made by the Synod can be found on the Vatican website together with the Final Message of the Synod Fathers.

2. G20 meeting in Seoul (South Korea). At the time of the G20 meeting in Seoul, Pax Romana, with the Korean movement Woori Theological Institute held a seminar to reflect on several issues relating to the G20. Final declaration available from the Secretariat of Pax Romana at office@imcs-miec.org

3. Human Rights Council, Geneva, March and June 2011. Two interns were welcomed by PR March 2011: Anne-Beatrice of Malaysia and Sarang Lee of Korea. And two interns were also welcomed by PR in June 2011: Sarang Lee of Korea and Eunice Chong from the U.S.A. 

4. Preparation of the International Council of ICMICA PR. This Council will be held July 25-27 in Cologne (Germany), preceded by the joint celebration of the 90th anniversary of the PR ICMS from July 22 to 24 on the theme of Memory of Pax Romana on the past, present, and future. The document preparation is available on our website.

5. Cologne, Germany, IMCS Pax Romana will hold a study session to take place on 17-21 July on “Bridging our Worlds: Going Beyond Borders” in Cologne, Germany prior to the joint celebration of the 90th Anniversary.

The World assembly of Pax Romana ICMICA in Vienna, (30th July - 1st August), we want to share our visions and actions in order to look together for a new paradigm.

This website will inform you on the current reflections and activities, in different national federations and in the international institutions.

But beyond that, the website is a tool to share reflections and actions all over the world, it is your tool. So, if you are member of the Pax Romana family, please join us and register if not yet done (button on the left side). Once registered you have access to more information, you can take part in the forum, contribute by submitting articles or reacting to those already written, or give input in the international institutions debates, answer questionnaire, propose ideas in the creativity contest, comment the program…. and overall, make the registration for the Vienna Assembly
