- The ICMICA initiative was unique in that we were the only lay group who made a substantial input into the synodal process from a lay perspective.
- Our Manila document was appreciated by many Asian Synod participants
- The coalition building strategy was very effective with AYICOs and the FABC
- The concept of "Civil Society in the Church" was developed.
- As a follow-up of the Asian synod, there will be a discussion on continental synods at the International Colloquium in Washington in October 1999.
