En raison de cette pandémie\, des écoles ont fermé leurs portes dans le monde entier et plus de 1\,2 milliard d’enfants sont sans formation actuellement. En réponse\, les gouvernements et les écoles privés sont passé à l’apprentissage numérique (e-learning) où l’apprentissage est assuré à l’aide de la technologie. Bien que cette réponse rapide des gouvernements et d’autres acteurs soit louable\, il existe plusieurs préoccupations liées à l’éducation virtuelle/ numérique / e-learning\, en particulier en Afrique subsaharienne.
