PAX ROMANA - MIIC, with all and each one of our confederacies in the 5 continents, is today spiritually in Montevideo sharing these moments with the family and the community of friends and companions of Patricio. For many years we have had the good fortune to work and to collaborate with him in many projects and actions with joy and passion, in the hope that we were building a world of justice and love. Those are experiences that confuse time and eternity. We have admired Patricio so much that we cannot imagine our future without him. His efforts on behalf human rights and peace will deeply keep in our memories, especially those related with his fertile services in the United Nations' system, constantly oriented toward the dialogue between cultures and religions. All his hard work was deep-rooted in the Catholic faith, in fidelity to the path mapped out by the Second Vatican Council.
In his farewell we rejoice with memories from his life, knowing that Patricio will live in the resurrection of Jesus, furthermore he will live in our lives and in our futures.

Greetings from Ashwin G. Parmar, President of ICMICA-Gujarat (India).
First and foremost, I am really shocked to hear the news of sad demise of our President Mr. Patricio Rode. It has certainly surprised all the Members here and his sudden death has shaken me a lot. It is not only a great loss to the ICMICA all over the World but also to our ICMICA-Gujarat Unit. No one on the World can heal this wound of losing our beloved Mr. Patricio.
For your information, he had paid a visit to Gujarat State of India during January-2003 and stayed here for four days. Moments and memories spent with him are treasured, which can never be stolen. He had also made a stay of a day at my house. Really, he will last in my heart throughout the years to come. I repent and deeply express sorrow towards all members. I make a request to your good self to kindly convey my feelings to all. There is a lot to write, but I am writing a few lines only.
Ashwin Parmar,
President of ICMICA-Gujarat (India).
I have forwarded your replay to the international secretariat.
