Because they are living more separate lives and disengaging from all forms of communal activities? Because countries with a high gross domestic product tended to be less religious? Because they perceive religion as deeply entangled with conservative politics and they do not want to have any association with it? Because the religious institutions are too concerned with money and power and too involved in politics?

- More and more have decided quite logically to continue the spiritual journey outside the institutions and have found this path actually brings them much closer to God…

- Internet provides exchanges of ideas and discussions where unsuported claims have less chances of surviving. - Dogmas that lived in the obscurity of cults cannot survive under the light os critical scrutiny….

- We need to begin to assimilate what science is learning about the brain, about emotional development, mental illness, sexuality, and many other topics. We need to carefully consider how to make sense of Scripture in the light of this knowledge, but also how to help science to grapple with the moral implications of its findings...
