The Committee of Ministers held a thematic debate on “Rising extremism, radicalisation and xenophobia in the fight against terrorism: Building inclusive societies as a cure / The need for collective action” on 15 March 2016.

The Conference of INGOs submitted a written contribution to this debate in answering the following questions :

22 INGOs sent their contributions and Anna Rurka, President of the Conference of INGOs, submitted them to the Committee of Ministers.

Dear colleagues,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your input to the thematic debate of the Committee of Ministers.

22 INGOs answered the call. We showed to the Committee of Ministers that INGOs follow the evolution of policies, react and can make a substantial contribution. This is the way if we want to have any influence and participate in the decision making process at Council of Europe level.

Please note also that during plenary meeting of the Conference of INGOs, planned on 24 of June, we will have the emergency debate on migration with the Ambassadors and other bodies of the Council of Europe
