To all members of Pax Romana in Europe interested in Education, especially in the thema : "The Teacher of the 21st century".
The country is on the eve of political events (referendum and national elections before the end of 2013), meaning a period of possible instability. The humanitarian situation was not very promising, (crop failure, hunger, disease, HIV and AIDS, increasing unemployment especially of the youth.
The resurrection of Jesus means that the love of God is stronger than evil and death itself. Easter is the exodus, the passage of human beings from slavery to sin and evil to the freedom of love and goodness.

The Directorate of Communication of the Council of Europe has launched a new initiative that aims to improve understanding of the Council of Europe's work and policies among our partners and stakeholders, including the media, in our member States and beyond.
To build peace and construct bridges of friendship and fraternity.
The 2013 World Forum for Democracy “Rewiring democracy – reconnecting citizens and democratic institutions in the information age” will be held in Strasbourg (France) on 27-29 November 2013.
The NGO Unit of the Council of Europe calls for proposals.
This event was held at the Council of Europe's Palais de l'Europe in Strasbourg on 21-22 February 2013.
Jérôme Grosnon, member of the Pax Romana delegation to the Council of Europe attended this event and produced the attached excellent report. Thanks to him.
The Conference pointed out the roots of the present crisis, its dangers regarding Human Rights and Democracy, moreover it proposed different solutions to eradicate poverty and promote a sustainable future for Humanity.

The Arab Spring has shaken a whole series of autocratic regimes. With the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, might not something like that be possible in the Roman Catholic Church as well — a Vatican Spring?
- Why do you think that the Catholic Church has increasingly less influence?
The Catholic and all religions have increasingly less influence in the world, but I wish that they had more. The Catholic Church needs a profound renewal and I think that, just as said Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, is 200 years behind, then we have to renew all who are Catholic.

The new Evangelization is confronted with modern culture and its new vision of Man and the World. It means that the Church has to rephrase differently its universal discourse, external to the different cultures it addresses, so it can force itself upon all men. It should admit that this discourse is part and parcel of a history, a specific proposition of the Judeo-Christian heritage, of the Greeks and of the age of Enlightenment in Western Europe.
In order to emerge from the present financial and economic crisis, we need people, groups and institutions which will promote life by fostering human creativity, in order to draw from the crisis itself an opportunity for discernment and for a new economic model. (…) Concretely, in economic activity, peacemakers are those who establish bonds of fairness and reciprocity with their colleagues, workers, clients and consumers. They engage in economic activity for the sake of the common good and they experience this commitment as something transcending their self-interest.
