2021 Individual contribution
Despite the continued challenges brought about by the COVID Pandemic, the Pax Romana family is currently experiencing an extraordinary renewal of its dynamism and mission as a global community of Catholic professionals and intellectuals. This renewal began with a reflection on our core spirituality with the publication of a guide, Living a Spirituality of Action. This reflection continued with an online training seminar and the articulation of five points of our identity.
This shared spiritual foundation is at the origin of the new cooperation between IMCS and ICMICA, and recently resulted in an online celebration of 100 years of Pax Romana. There were over 450 people registered, an absolute record. Across the world, there is a renewed energy in the life of our movement, with international online webinars, liturgies, and discussions happening every month over the past two years. This dynamic is also at the origin of the project to create a joint secretariat and spiritual center for IMCS and ICMICA in the vicinity of Geneva.
The other important dynamic is the synodal process, a process of meeting with our local movements and organizations, to get to know each other better, and to better understand the current challenges and what Pax Romana should be like in the 21st century. We have already organized over fifteen “virtual visits” with local movements. See some of these discussions here. All of this helps to prepare us for our 2021 Assembly, which will take place virtually in December.
We need your financial support.
To continue, however, we need your financial support. Over the past five years, the contribution of individual members and friends has become a major source of support for our movement. That is why we are turning to you to ask you, as we do every year, for your personal contribution. Thanks in advance!
