Environment, education, scientific research, role of the laity and women in the Church after the election of Pope Francesco are the themes of the traditional Theological Week of Meic in the Camaldoli Monastery, with the title. “The perennial vitality of Christian hope”.

“In a deep crisis, not only economic, we as believers called to render account for our hope, we know that there is never time for resignation,” said the national president of the Meic Carlo Cirotto. “In Camaldoli we shall start again from the foundaments of our hope and their historical implementation: as lay people have a duty to sharpen our view on the seeds of hope already present in the different realities of life in order to recognize and cultivate them. It is a task of Christians, and in particular of those who live an intellectual commitment, useful by both the ecclesial community and the civil society.”
