In the framework of the upcoming Warsaw Conference on Climate (11-22 November 2013),  a declaration (See attachment) advocating for an unbreakable link between Climate Change and Human Rights was adopted by our Standing Committee on behalf of the Conference of INGOs.

It has been drawn up by our Committee Working group on “Climate Change and Human Rights” , under the responsibility of Dr Edith Wenger whom we want to thank, as well as the committee on Human Rights, particularly its chairperson, Annelise Oeschger.
 
Anne-Marie Chavanon, Chair of the Democracy, Social Cohesion and Global Challenges Committee of the Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe has already sent the attached declaration to the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Secretariat and will forward it to other relevant international and national bodies.
 
However,  we need to disseminate it widely, for awareness raising, putting a link towards one of the below pages, according to the media used :
